Bauchi NPC recruits 110 enumerators, supervisors for digital trial census

For the success of the trial first ever digital census which commenced across the country, a total of 110 enumerators and supervisors have been engaged by the Bauchi State office of the National Population Commission (NPC).
The trial census in to take place in nine Local Government Areas of the State in selected communities.
The disclosure was made by the Federal Commissioner, Bauchi State NPC, Alhaji Mohammed Darazo during a press briefing held at the NUJ Secretariat, Bauchi, on Wednesday explaining that the Trial Census started since June 27, 2022 and will end July 30, 2022.
He also disclosed that Building Numbering and Household listing would begin from July 13 and end July 18 just as he revealed that Validation of Enumeration Areas frame will begin from July 19 to 21.
He further disclosed that three Local Government Areas in the state were selected in each of the three senatorial districts of the state.
The nine local government areas are Zaki, Giade and Itas Gadua (Bauchi North), Dambam, Ningi and Darazo (Bauchi Central) and Tafawa Balewa, Kirfi and Toro (Bauchi South).
The Federal Commissioner for Bauchi State , who read a speech by the Executive Chairman of the Commission, Honourable Nasir Isa Kwarra, said that the Nationwide Trial census was approved by the National Council of State ahead of the Population and Housing Census I April 2023
He quoted Kwarra as saying that the objective of the Trial Census was to test all aspects of census operations from planning, implementation, logistics, questionnaire design and format, training procedures , field work operations, Publicity, payment system, data processing, data tabulating and analysis.
According to him, the Nationwide Trial Census would be conducted in selected areas and would cover one local government area in one state in each of the six geopolitical zones and One Supervisory area in three LGAS in each of the three senatorial districts in 36 states and Federal Capital Territory (FCT)
The six local government area which will be fully enumerated are Toungo (Admawa), Daura (Katsina), Karu (Nasarawa), Imeko-Afon (Oh), Idemili (Anambra) and Brass (Bayelsa).
