The leading governorship candidate said the rumour is unfolded and sponsored by his opponents who are jittery with his growing acceptability by the generality of the people of the state.
This was contained in a statement by Anthony Maliki, Media Assistant to Taraba State SDP Governorship Candidate, Hon. Danladi Baido to Apex News Exclusive.
Hon. Baido urged his teeming supporters across the state to be steadfast and focus in their activities as victory in 2023 is assured.
He said no amount of monetary inducement can make him withdraw from the election as there is an urgent need to rescue Taraba State from the shackles of underdevelopment and maladministration.
According to him, the rumour clearly showed the desperation of his opponents who want to distract the people from supporting him because of his strong grassroots base in Taraba State.
The SDP candidate also explained that the personality of Lt.-Gen. Danjuma or any other respectable persons should not be dragged into such callous rumours.
