2023 General election: Parties jittery of Labour Party presidential candidature – Mustapha

The candidature of Peter Obi’s presidency under Labour Party for next year’s election is threatening political parties in the country.

The Labour Party (LP) Governorship candidate in Adamawa State, Engineer Umar Mustapha stated this when he commended the resilience of the people of the state to identify with the party.

The Otumba of Ekiti stated that the occasion also received no fewer than 700 decampees mostly from the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in Yola.

During the occasion, the Otumba “said all parties becoming jittery of the Labour Party because of the achievements of its presidential candidate Mr. Peter Obi.

The Governorship candidate noted that, “it is on record that Mr. Obi is the only Governor who had at the end of his tenure as Governor, left behind over N70 billion Naira and over N150 million dollars for his predecessor.”

The former Muccadas of Adamawa said “some Governors are busy building structures that are not meaningful to the people and so I am set to correct such anomalies.”

Speaking on behalf of the decamped, Mariam Alhaji Sale revealed that they are in support of the LP because of its plans for the people.

She said was handing over the decampees to Mr. Nicolas Christopher, the State Chairman of the party who would formally handed them to the Otumba of Ekiti Engineer Umar Mustapha.
