Meet Hon. Ms Agbo Theresa; the youngest councillor in Okpokwu LG Council of Benue State

Hon. Ms Agbo Theresa was born on 8th January 1997 into the family of Mr & Mrs Agbo Adamu James Joel of Ichama district, Okpokwu Local Government Area of Benue State. Her father is a police officer, while her mother is a businesswoman.
She attended Praise International Standard Academy, Abuja, and Eagle Height Academy, Suleja, Niger State.
She is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Library and Information Science with the prestigious federal university Lafia, Nasarawa State.
Being a focused and hardworking person, she has worked with Multi-Pro International as a Business Executive personnel.
In April 2022, she won an election into the Okpokwu Legislative Council as the Councillor representing Ichama ward 1, on the platform of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP.
A pacesetter, Agbo became the first female councillor in her ward and the youngest councillor in Okpokwu.
The second born of five children, Agbo loves reading and dancing. Her Political mentor is Honorable Agbo Joe who is the party National leader in Okpokwu local government.
Ichama is known for its rich cultural heritage and unique hospitality. The paramount ruler is the Och’Ichama. The district is primarily inhabited by the Idoma people, the second largest ethnic group in Benue State.
Ichama ward 1 comprises Ojoga, Ipole ichama, Iwewe, okoro, Achi, Okpo, IpoleAi’ Okpe, IpoleAi’ Ona , IpoleAi’ Ebiga, and IpoleAi. It has 5 major clans namely; Ai’- Okpe, Ai’-Ohebe, Ai’-Onah, Ai -Ebiega, and Ai’-Agbo. Each clan has a clan head.
The ward is in high spirits as Hon. Ms Agbo Theresa sets to hit the ground running as its first female councillor.
