Improved productivity for service delivery: BASEPA calls on staff to be punctual, law-abiding

In an attempt to improve productivity and service delivery, Bauchi State Environmental Protection Agency (BASEPA) has called of its staff to be punctual and law abiding in the discharge of their duties.

The call was made by the Acting Director, Admin and Human Resources, Hajiya Rukayya Mohammed during an interactive meeting with the Directors, Sectional Heads and Desk Officers of the Agency held on Monday.

The acting Director said that, the call was necessary in order to improve productivity and service delivery, which she said will help significantly in carrying out their official responsibilities. 

She however said that absenteeism is a punishable offence in the civil service and the code of conduct which will not be compromised by the Agency.

According to her, the meeting was also to create an avenue for information sharing on the activities of all the directorates and units and call for synergy to deliver the mandates of keeping the state Clean and Healthy.

The meeting also discussed extensively on the activities of the Enforcement, Inspection and Fumigation units and the Agency’s regulatory power on the activities of service providers. 

It also planned special training and sensitisation workshop with a view to address challenges on revenue collection with support from the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS) and Dream Labs Limited.

The Legal Adviser of the Agency, Barr Haruna Mohammed who also attended the meeting advised the staff to always act in accordance with the laid down rules and regulations governing the activities of the Agency. 

He also urged them to conduct their activities professionally and avoid engaging in anything capable of tarnishing the image of the Agency as contained in a statement by Isyaka Laminu Badamasi, SA Media to DG BASEPA.
