Taraba Governor, Ishaku says creation of more chiefdoms is for peace, development

Governor Darius Ishaku says the creation of more chiefdoms in Taraba State has brought peace and development.

The Governor was speaking when Aku Uka Manu Ishaku Adda Ali and Gara Donga, Sanvala Varzoa Shimbura who were recently coronated as First Class traditional rulers paid him a thank you visit at the Government House, Jalingo.

Governot Ishaku expressed happiness that traditional rulers in the state are now working closely with their subjects to protect their domain which must be sustained for continuous development.

The Governor cautioned traditional rulers against land grabbing and illegal mining saying that no one has the right to mine any mineral in the State without the approval of the designated Ministry.

He reiterated the commitment of his administration in Agriculture in order to provide food for the people.

The Governor thanked the monarchs for the visit.

Earlier, Aku Uka, Manu Ishaku Adda Ali said they were at the Government House to thank Governor Darius Ishaku for his great effort for their successful coronation and Presentation of Staff of Office.

The Aku Uka who is the Chairman of the Taraba State Council of Chiefs appreciated Governor Darius Ishaku for constructing the Wukari -Tsukundi road and other projects spread across the state.

He appealed to him to appoint a paramount ruler for Takum Local Government Area.

Commenting, Gara Donga Sanvala Varzoa Shimbura thanked Governor Ishaku for approving his appointment as Gara Donga which culminated to his installation and Presentation of Staff of office.

The monarch prayed God to guide and grant Governor Darius Ishaku his heart desires in the 2023 election.
