The Member representing Karim-Lamido, Lau, Ardo-Kola Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Hon. Danladi Baido has expressed utmost concern over the face-off between staff of the Taraba State House of Assembly and the State government over unpaid eight years allowances.
Hon. Baido, who is the gubernatorial candidate of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) in Taraba State, said both staff of the assembly and the State Governor, Architect Darius Ishaku should shift grounds for the sake of the people of the state.

This was contained in a statement Tuesday by Anthony Maliki, Media Assistant to SDP governorship candidate, Hon. Danladi Baido to Apex News Exclusive.
The assembly staff had locked the gate into the legislature premises preventing entry.
Hon. Baido explained he is worried about the timing of the strike as the Governor is on the verge of presenting the 2023 budget estimates.
According to him, as a legislator, the process of presenting, deliberating and passing of budgets take time, thus people of the state would be at the receiving end.
He said with the tough economic situation in the state, the governor should see to meeting the demands of the striking staff while they should also shift some grounds.
The SDP governorship candidate also noted that if the matter is not quickly resolved, the state will economically suffer immensely.
