National Rescue Movement Senatorial candidate for Kogi West, Mallam Bala Abdulghafar Dirisu has promised to empower over 550 Youths in his constituency including those in Nasarawa state through Microsoft training to acquire digital skills.
Speaking with Journalists, the NRM candidate said the empowerment is intended to reduce youths involvement in social vices, restiveness as well as be meaningfully engage through information technology that would position them in the areas of economy, agriculture and transportation.
Mall. Bala Dirisu added that the second phase of the empowerment which is in collaboration with the United Nations for 500 youths in Kogi West is to begin soon stating further that indigenes of his constituency would be fully captured in the empowerment programme.
He disclosed the United Nations Training on skill acquisition and empowerment for the youths would be provided with Certificate and start up capital through online and physical to take the youths off crimes and provide them with source of livelihood
While urging the people of his constituency to take advantage of the opportunity in Kogi West Senatorial District to be empowered, Mall Bala said “the time to vote for people who are youthful and think the same way, feel the pain of the youth is now”.
According to the NRM Candidate, “as a youthful and resourceful Person, I stand a better chance, have a better idea to move the constituency forward, a my aspiration is geared towards improving the lives of the people of my constituents through quality legislation.
He therefore called on the youths of Kogi State to join him to build a better constituency and to make life more meaningful for living.
He said that his team has put in place formidable structures to mobilize not just the NRM members, but all the people of his constituency at home and in diaspora (Nasarawa) to vote massively for all the party candidate in Kogi west and the entire state.
He declared that members of the campaign team are working in collaboration with the party leadership in the state and other relevant stakeholders to make Kogi a catchment area for all the candidates and the party.
“ My team is working assiduously in tandem with relevant stakeholders to deliver all the candidates of the party.
“The truth must be said that we are highly committed to deliver NRM in the state in the forthcoming general election.
We are presently mobilizing the grassroots level not just members, but all citizens of the to vote massively for our party flag bearers.
The Senatorial Candidate boasted that NRM is above APC, PDP in the aspects of competence and ability to take Kogi to a higher pedestal.
“We in the NRM share the conviction of many people of Kogi and we are sure of winning our election convincingly and can fix the state”, he declared.
”Currently, the state is in a bad shape. Only the NRM can solve the problems of insecurity, kidnapping, terrorism, banditry, among others.
