Dr Linda Ayade, wife of Cross River State governor has assured the presidential candidate of the national ruling party, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu that women in the South South region of the country will certainly deliver bulk votes for him and his running mate.
She spoke in Calabar when she addressed APC women contingents who converged to welcome wife of the president, Dr Aisha Buhari represented by her daughter Zara Buhari, Sen Oluremi Tinubu, National Women leader of the party, Dr Betta Edu and others.
They had stressed on the need to mobilise greater numbers of women from all communitiies in the region to vote for Tinubu.
Ayade’s wife said, “We have to make our voices louder in action come February 2023 by filing out in our numbers. We have the numbers and we want our numbers to reflect on the ballot come February 2023 in support of our dear candidate.
“We want to let the whole country know that the south-south women are solidly behind Senator Tinubu.
“We the progressive women of the south-south hereby reiterate our support. We are ready for the renewed hope for Nigeria.”
She charged the women to ensure that they have collected theie PVCs in readiness to vote TInubu.
