The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) candidate for Aniocha Oshimili Federal Constituency of Delta State for the House of Representatives, Hon. Tony Ochei said one cannot do the same thing all over and expect to achieve greater result.
He was apparently referring to the member how had represented the constituency in the House of Representatives and want to be reelected again.
The candidate made the remarks in a statement WhatsApp to Apex News Exclusive on Saturday.
Hon. Ochei who is the leading contender for the Green Chamber noted that “It is often said that doing the same thing all the time and expecting to get a different result is tantamount to colossal failure.”
He called for the need to improve on the standard of representation than elect those that have expired.
“Let us therefore up the standards by electing an unbought and unbossed professional, who is prepared and ready to do the job differently,” he pointed out.
The NNPP candidate stressed that what an incumbent could not do in 12 years does not exist in another 4 years urging the electorate not be deceived by rhetorics.
Hon. Ochei expressed dismay that something as basic as provision of portable water in Aniocha Oshimili, which can easily be done by simply fighting for the completion of a 16 years old abandoned Ogwashi-uku Multi-purpose Earth Dam awarded by the Federal Government, was completely ignored by the “representative of the people” for 12 years.
He called on the people of Aniocha Oshimili Federal Constituency to wake up, make the right choice and elect a new voice for House of Representatives that will get things done for them.
