Mr. Sonny Agassi

Governor Abdullahi Sule of Nasarawa State has reappointed Mr. Sonny Agassi as the Director General of Nasarawa Geographic Information Service (NAGIS) for another four years.
Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, (NSHA) has screened and confirmed him after he appeared for screening during the House proceedings in Lafia.
The House also screened and confirmed Barristers Muhammed Yaro Zakari and Yarima Auta Jatau as members of the Judicial Service Commission.
He commended Agassi for generating millions of Naira to the coffer of the State Government and called on him to do more.
“We hereby screened and confirmed the re-appointment of Sonny Agassi as Director General, NAGIS for another four years in office.
“We have also screened and confirmed the appointments of Barr. Muhammed Yaro Zakari and Yarima Auta Jatau as members of the Judicial Service Commission,” he said.
The Speaker while congratulating them on their appointments, urged them to use their wealth of experience in adding value to the development of the State.
Speaking to newsmen shortly after his screening, the DG NAGIS, Mr Agassi reaffirmed his commitment to build on the solid foundation he has put in place so far, enhance more revenue generation and explore more ways in smooth land acquisition and compensation.
Abdullahi urged them to live above board, if they finally assumed their duties.
The House unanimously screened and confirmed the nominees.
Similarly, the Speaker, Rt. Hon Ibrahim Balarabe Abdullahi, announced that the House would commence its recess and resume on 6 February, 2023.
