Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State says he will boost agriculturure with other necessary inputs to sustain peace between farmers and herders in the state.
The Governor noted that this is the best in terms of development projects untaped, the people will see it when he comes back, this time as an experiened governor.
He stated this while addressing the people of Yoffo, Ndikon, Ribadu, Gengle, Mbilla and Mayo-Belwa communities in the Mayo-Belwa local government area during his re-election campaign in the communities, Fintiri said what he had done in the last three and half years are minor compared to what he would do if he returns as governor.
He gave the assurance to the people of consolidation of achievements in security, health, education, works and other sectors.
In Mayo-Belwa the venue of campaign, Fintiri announced proposed award of contract for rehabilitation of the cottage hospital in the town and the reconstruction of a road cutting through the town.
According to him, arrangements are on the top gear for construction of the road from Marraban Tola to Binyeri, a road been constructed during the late Abubakar Barde’s regime as Governor of the then Gongola State but long degraded, leaving the inhabitants to suffer.
He equally announced that renovation of the Mayo-Belwa Cottage Hospital will commence within the next two weeks.
He said, “You should support this government. We built eight cottage hospitals around the state, complete with staff quarters. In the next two weeks, we will commence renovation of cottage Hospital, Mayo-Belwa.”
While speaking with emphasis on agriculture, Fintiri told the crowd at Mayo Farang that, “as a rural farming community, i assure you that we will not rest in our efforts. We will support our farmers with agricultural implements and other inputs, and we will sustain peace between them and herders.”
