United Main Market Butchers, Onitsha in Anambra State have assured their esteemed customers quality supply of their product.
Speaking to our correspondent in Onitsha, the Chairman of the union Mr. Jude Okoli who spoke extensively on the quantity control measure of their product stating that they are the best Abattoirs union throughout the State.
He boasted that in terms of environmental neatness, quality of product and efficiency delivery, they are the best.
Mr. Okoli however disclosed that Veterinary Doctors from Onitsha North Local Government Area always visit their slaughter House site every morning before they slaughter cows, noting that the doctors collects essential parts of the cow meats which he said they test before the meat is finally sold to their customers.
They inspect their environment and how they package the products for their customers, just as he stated that within the slaughter site they tied the floor, provide bore holes, and neat tables in order to make their product attractive to customers.
He, therefore, recounted insecurity and lack of fund as their major challenges.
Also speaking to our correspondent Chief Bennett Nsude one of the patron of the union and former President of National Union of Butchers Anambra State hinted that his union is fighting every possible means to see that the environment where they operate their business is neat and conducive.
He said that their product is always available for their customers in affordable rate and pleaded with the State Government to assist them in renovating their slaughter House site, provide light and give them sense of belonging in as much as they have been striving alone to secure a conducive place for their business.
While, the Chairman of Obosi Abattoir Union Mr. Omezie Anyaoku who took our correspondent round their slaughter House site explained that hence meat as an edible product is concerned, they don’t compromise with the standard provided for them by the Public Health Personnel.
He noted that they make sure that they supply their customers any quantity, of quality products, adding that Veterinary Doctors and Public Health Officers visit them twice every month to ascertain level of compliance which they gave to him.
Mrs. Ononuju Grace who is a regular customer to ObosiAbattoir affirmed the high sanitary standard of the Abatuar site Obosi.
In the same vein, Mrs. Oluchukwu Nnedum as well testified that she always patronize Obosi Abatuar due to their efficiency in services and neatness of their business environment.
Similarly, Mr. Emeka Ugwu who is the Chairman of Ose United Abattoirs Onitsha Anambra State in his comments disclosed that their union do not toy with sanitation exercises, stressing that his union has a standard procedure to ensure full compliance to the standard given to them by the Public Health Officers.
He revealed that the Health Officer always take them unaware, explaining that their customer’s safety is guaranteed as their products is hygienically packaged.
