A concerned youth group in Maiha Local Government Area has warned political miscreants and mongers to stop misleading the good people of Maiha with baseless allegations for their selfish interest.
The group stated this in reaction to the so-called video clip that went viral on social media where one, Sulai Abdullahi Taxi accused Alhaji Abubakar Mustafa, the Council Chairman of Maiha of mismanagement of public funds and landed property.
According to a statement signed by the group spokesman, Ibrahim Paka, revealed that Sulai Abdullahi Taxi, a betrayer and Ingrate lacks the moral right to criticize the Council Chairman as he was the major beneficiary of the good governance in Maiha.
Paka added, “since the death of Taxi’s father, the council chairman has taken care of their family’s basic needs. No household in the whole of Maiha has benefited the marvelous gesture of the Chairman as their family.
“How could an Abuja political loafer who recently joined the PDP with the help of the Chairman will know the true happenings in Maiha. It could be laughable to accuse the chairman with prejudice out of hatred.
“Taxi as a new comer into PDP, after failing to be included in the list of would-be appointees selected from Maiha as directed by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, he resorted to wage a campaign of columny against the chairman.”
He therefore called on the incipient political improvident to be wary of his haggard sponsors and bankrollers as according to him no amount of lies can distract the chairman from providing good governance.
Paka further said the Council Chairman who has been provident administrator has ensured construction of Mayo Guli Headquarters to Belel 60km road, fencing the cemetery, and rehabilitated and built District Head palace in Mbilla.
He said “there is also rehabilitation of road from Mayo Nguli to Kwangol, Buba Pakka Street Link Kaban road, Chiroma Street Mayo Nguli Ward. He also rehabilitated electricity from Mubi to Maiha, from Pakka to Mayo Nguli.
“The Chairman has also, renovated Sorau District Head palace, purchased Hilux Vehicle for the Police and Motorcycles to Vigilante groups, constructed Water Centre at Nasarawo Mbalagi, Konkol Cattle Market and Abbattior in Belel.
“In his effort to fight against deforestation as directed by Governor Umaru Fintiri, Alhaji Abubakar Mustapha has imposed a total ban on exportation and importation of charcoal and cutting down trees for firewood across the ten wards in the local government area. At the same time, he launched aforestation campaign in Maiha.
“Alhaji Mustapha has embarked on a non stop renovation project of Mbalagi Primary School destroyed by thunderstorm before the deadline of public holidays as part his effort towards improving the educational sector. The project is now at the completion stage,” he said.
Paka said the youth group with thousands of members across the local government is set to start mobilizing the people to ensure re-election of the chairman for continuity of good governance.
