Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry graduates children from vocational training

The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has graduated 17 children from its Summer ICT Vocational Skills training.

The two weeks programme organised by the Business Entrepreneurship Skill and Technology Centre of the Chamber (ACCI-BEST) was aimed at engaging the children during the summer holidays and equipping them with relevant ICT skills.

The training which featured ICT skills like; Graphic Design, Website Design, Coding and Robotics, Microsoft Office, 3D Printing, Photography, and Musical Instruments was targeted at young adults and children between the age of 4-15 years old.

The participants were grouped into and trained in their various area of interest in which they gave practical presentations ad they round up the programme.

The Director BEST Centre, Mrs. Tinuke Temitope who expressed gratitude to the parents for their patience, trust and dedication towards ensuring the success of the programme urged them to be steadfast and encourage their children by providing the necessary gadgets and facilities to enable them practicalise what they have been taught during the two weeks programme.

“As the saying goes ‘practice makes perfect’, therefore, we urge you to support them by giving them all they need to keep practicing what they have learnt here. It will make them better at it till they become the best.”

Some of the parents that spoke during the graduation expressed gratitud4nti the Centre while saying the training has helped their children in bringing out their various skills.

They also encouraged the organiser to keep the good work going as the two weeks programme has helped modify the children in various ways.
