The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) says it remains an Armed Forces-friendly institution and always pray that God protect our troops.
The President of the Chamber, Chief Emeke Obegolu, SAN, stated this in a statement on Monday to mark this year’s Armed Forces Remembrance Day.
He said the ACCI understands the difficulties and heart break suffered by families whose loved ones die in service to our fatherland.
According to him, the Chamber will never forget and called on the nation to support these families and honour the memory of their loved ones.
Chief Obegolu noted that as Armed Forces continue to lay their lives on the line to protect our nation and defeat our enemies, ACCI will continue to honour, support and encourage them and their families.
The President stressed that the Chamber honours the courage, selfless service and unwavering dedication of the Armed Forces even in the face of daunting challenges.
He pointed out women and men of our Armed Forces have given their lives to protect and preserve our nation, our democracy and our way of life.
He said they have incurred injuries and placed themselves in harm’s way to ensure that schools, markets, religious institutions and business are able to remain open and function-they have helped in our safety and freedom as a nation.
According to him, they are patriots and deserve our respect, honour and support.
Chief Obegolu noted that as our Armed Forces continue to lay their lives on the line to protect our nation and defeat our enemies, ACCI will continue to honour, support and encourage them and their families.
