The President of the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Chief Emeka Obegolu, SAN, extends his heartfelt felicitations to the Muslim faithful on the auspicious occasion of the 2024 Eid Mubarak celebration.
Eid Mubarak, also known as the “Grand Eid” or “Big Sallah” in Islam, is a significant feast of sacrifice and marks the most important celebration in the Muslim calendar.
It celebrates the willingness of the Prophet Ibrahim to sacrifice his son Ishmael in submission to Allah’s command, before he was stopped by Allah.
In his message, Chief Obegolu, SAN, called on the Muslim faithful to use the season to uphold the country in prayers for economic development, peace, and unity while emphasising that the Eid Mubarak is a season that signifies joy, peace, and prosperity.
“As we keep praying and upholding the country in prayers, God will help us to surmount our weaknesses and help us build a great nation that would be an envy of other nations and attract investors,” Chief Obegolu said.
He urged Nigerians to shun issues around religions that often cause violence and to work together in unity as a body. He also called on all Nigerians not to lose faith in the country but to intensify their prayers and renew their hope that the new government will overcome its current challenges.
Chief Obegolu admonished every celebrant to continue to show love, care, and compassion to one another, as taught by the Holy Prophet Mohammed (S.A.W).
On behalf of the Executive Councils and members of the ACCI, the President congratulates the Muslim faithful on this celebration and wishes them the best.
