Adamawa 2023: Indigenous group buy PDP nomination for Governor Fintiri’s re-election

A group of indigenes of Adamawa on Wednesday bought the PDP nomination forms for Gov. Ahmadu Fintri to re-contest the seat in 2023.
The group said this was to enable Fontiri accomplish his transformation agenda in the state.
Leader of the group, under the umbrella of the “Good People of Adamawa State”, Mr Abdulrahman Bobboi, told newsmen in Abuja on Wednesday that there was need to sustain the good works started by the incumbent governor.
“It is will and decision of the good people of Adamawa state to buy nomination form for him (governor) and this is because of the enormous achievements that Gov. Fintiri has achieved within the period of three years.
“It is good for me to inform you that he has changed the educational system of Adamawa state to an advanced level.
“In one of the state university we inherited, that university had only three professors. Today we have over 50 professors in that university.
“Today, National University Commission has approved a Master Degree in the university to train doctors and lawyers. This is an achievement within a short period of time.
“The university could not have a convocation for 13 years. But with the coming of Governor Fintri, they had one and he has met up with his own counterpart funding for 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2020.
“Over 5 000 block of classrooms are being built, renovated, constructed in Adamawa state. We have about 46,000 students.
“He is also paying scholarship of over 30,000 Students of Adamawa state across the universities in Nigeria. This is one part of education.”
Bobboi said that in the area of health sector, Fintiri had completely overhauled the entire health system of Adamawa, by improving the General Hospital in Mubi, constructed Cottage Hospitals and employed 1,114 health workers within the period under review.
“In the area of security, he has been able to ensure that people in the state sleep with their eyes closed.”
“Governor Fintri has done marvelously well in Adamawa state. He has constructed 347 kilometres of rural roads across the 21 local government areas in Adamawa state.
“With this, you will see that the trade unions are here with us, the business community, are here with us, they are here because they are serious and they have seen that the governor is doing a very good work in Adamawa state.
“He is a very resourceful personality. He headed the national convention of this great party, and you are all witnesses to the successful convention we had, which has never been so in the history of PDP.” (NAN)
