Adamawa Corps members assured of safety – Governor Fintiri

‎The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Batch A Stream 1 Corps members to Adamawa State have been sworn in at its permanent orientation camp at Damare in Girei Local Government Area.

A total of 1,885 Corps members took oath of allegiance administered by the State Chief Judge, Hon. Justice Hafsat Abdulrahman represented by Hon. Justice Helen N Hammanjoda.

‎Governor Ahmadu Fintiri, represented by his Deputy Prof. Kaletapwa George Farauta reassured the new Corps members of their safety, emphasizing that Adamawa remains a secure and hospitable state. 

The Governor noted that Corps members are key partners in the state’s development agenda, with crucial roles in education, health, agriculture, and community development.

‎He highlighted that the recent increment in Corps members’ monthly allowance as part of efforts to cushion the impact of the current economic situation.

‎In her remarks, the Adamawa State NYSC Coordinator, Osoroh Caroline Chinedu represented the NYSC Director-General, described the orientation course as a crucial phase of the service year.

She applauded the Corps members for their discipline and active participation since the beginning of the exercise.

‎The coordinator thanked Governor Fintiri for his endless support and for  the ongoing  construction of the NYSC orientation camp and also the constant pay of the increased monthly allowance.
