Adamawa COVID-19 committee receives donations

The Adamawa State Technical Committee for Containment of COVID-19 has received a donation of N2.5 million cash from Members of the House of Representatives in the state.
This was made known in a statement by the Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Governor, Muhammad B. Tukur on Thursday.
The members were collectively represented by Kwamoti Laori representing Numan, Lamurde and Demsa who presented the money on behalf of his colleagues to support efforts of government to contain the coronavirus.
Similarly, the Committee has also received another N2 million from one Musa Garba a philanthropist and businessman who has also donated one of his facilities to be used as a containment centre if necessary.
UBA has also pledged the sum of N28.5 million all towards the fight against the dreaded pandemic. The committee is working with the Bank to receive the money.
The Committee assured citizens of the state that the money donated will be used judiciously for the purpose intended as the account has been opened for.
It expresses appreciation to the donors and appealed to other well meaning citizens to emulate the gesture towards combating the spread of COVID-19 pandemic in Adamawa.
