Adamawa Customs Area Command seizes items worth N55.3m from smugglers

The Comptroller, Nigeria Customs Service for Adamawa/Taraba Area Command, Abdullahi K. Suleiman says items worth over N55.3m have been seized from smugglers within three weeks.
He made this known while briefing journalists in Yola on his three weeks upon assuming office.
Suleiman said the goals of suppressing smuggling activities in the command have yielded a huge success.
He noted that, large volume of seizures have been recorded, an effort of gallantry of its operatives.
The comptroller said despite closure of the borders, some unscrupulous and recalcitrant people are still making their ways smuggling things that are inimical to the development of Nigeria including dangerous drugs.
