Adamawa exco adopts evaluation committee White Paper, phases out office of deputy permsec

Adamawa State Executive Council Wednesday adopted the white paper on the report of the Technical Committee for the Evaluation of Adamawa State Civil Service conducted and submitted last year.
Subsequently, the council, approved gradual phase out office of the deputy permanent secretary in the state civil service as henceforth there will be no promotion into the office.
The Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Dr Umar Garba Pella disclosed this to Government House correspondents shortly after the council meeting presided over by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri
Dr Garba added that the council had resolved a total reform to sanitize the civil service sector in the state to make it discharge its duties in accordance with the law and in tune with global best practice.
The Commissioner revealed that the council had also approved purchase of official vehicles for Speaker and members of the State Assembly as well as for members of the state executive council.
He said the vehicles will ease movement of the members in their day to day official activities and enhance smooth and effective running of act of governance in the state.
