ADAMAWA: Executive council approves N95m Yola traffic lights
Governor Fintiri presides over the SEC meeting
Adamawa State Executive Council during its Wednesday weekly meeting approved over ninety five million naira for installation of traffic lights in eight high traffic density areas in the state capital.
The Commissioner of Information and Strategy Dr Umar Garba Pella disclosed this at Government House after the council meeting presided over by Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri.

Dr Garba enumerated the areas to include Federal Secretariat Karewa Junction, Hospital Road and A.A Lawan junctions, Collage of Legal Studies Yola and Bishop Street junctions, Government House and Gimba junctions as well as Total junction.
The Commissioner added that the work will commence immediately and is awarded to Apter Technology’s Limited which will be completed within the timeframe of six months according to the contractual agreement.
He called on the citizens of Adamawa to support government in safeguarding the traffic lights to avoid being vandalized as according him they are meant to service the people and beautify the state capital.
Contributing, the Commissioner of Education Mrs Wilbina Jackson added that the company will stay for one year after the installation within which it will train personnel that will look after the facilities to ensure they work effectively.
On his part, he Commissioner of Works and Energy Alhaji Adamu Atiku Abubakar revealed that the roads contract awarded to Batco Nigeria Limited is progressing and expressed the hope that the work will be completed before its stipulated time frame.

He said soon project of three flyover bridges in the state capital will commence as all necessary arrangements have been in place in that regard.
