Adamawa Governor Fintiri assures of commencement of rehabilitation of Song, Dumne cottage hospitals

Adamawa State Governor  Ahmadu Fintiri Sunday granted audience to stakeholders of Song local government on a thank-you visit in the Government House, Yola with a an assurance to them that his administration will soon commence rehabilitation of Song and Dumne cottage hospitals.

This was contained in a statement by Muhammad B. Tukur, Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on New Media.

The Governor explained that whatever the people of Song local government got from the present administration is part of their fair share from government and commended the Chairman of Song local government for executing developmental projects in the area, calling on him to maintain the spirit.

He said, “I don’t use to commend people, I only commend people that has the interest of working for the masses. Honestly, the Executive Chairman of Song LGA deserves accolades. I urged you to keep it up.”

He stressed that his administration knows the value of the people especially the rural dwellers and it will continue to them priority reiterating that government will continue to build infrastructure in Song local government among other areas in Adamawa.

Earlier in his remark, the leader of the delegation, Alhaji Abdullahi Prambe who is the Commissioner of Rural Infrastructure and Community Development thanked the Governor for appointing 30 indigenes of Song local government into various positions under his administration.

Also speaking, the Executive Chairman Song local government council, Alhaji Gidado Abdussalam commended Governor Umaru Fintiri for granting financial autonomy to local governments which has enabled local council chairmen to execute people’s oriented projects across Adamawa.

Contributing the District Head of Song, Alhaji Ahmed Saidu who spoke on behalf of other traditional rulers in the area, urged the Governor to continue with the good work he is doing to the people of Song and assured him unflinching support of the people from.

On his part, Special Adviser to the Governor, Reverend Kallamu who is a stakeholder in Song local government area saluted Governor Fintiri for his efforts in securing the area from criminal elements as according to him, the people of Song now sleep with their two eyes closed.

He enumerated the achievements of Governor Fintiri to include construction of road from Marraba Dumne to Dumne and that of Hobo community, calling on him to also construct roads at Gudu and Song to Sabon Gari, pledging that Song local government will continue to be stronghold of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).
