Adamawa State Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has recently described the late Chairman of the Nigerian Union of Teachers (NUT) Rodney Nathan as a decent and diligent unionist to the core the state, Bwatiye, Northeast, teachers union and the nation has lost.
The Governor stated this as he commiserates with the people of the state and the leadership of the Nigerian Union Teachers (NUT) over the demise of Rodney in Jos, Plateau State after a protracted illness.
Fintiri made the remarks while extending his condolences through a press statement by the Press Secretary, Humwashi Wunosikou, where he also described the late chairman as a successful administrator and educationist, who reached to the top by total sacrifices and hardwork.
Late Nathan was also the regional leader of the 19 northern states and vice chairman of the state chapter of the Nigerian Labour Congress, until his death.
As he commiserated with the family and associates of late Comrade Rodney, the Governor remembered his examplary lifestyle, where he demonstrated great commitments and sacrifices to the service of the union towards the growth and development of the educational sector in the state.
