Adamawa Governor, Fintiri mourns Ahmed Joda who died at 91

Adamawa State Governor, Rt. Hon. Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has described as shocking, the passage of Alhaji Ahmed Joda who died in Yola on Friday.

Governor Fintiri described the late elderstatesman, technocrat and super Permanent Secretary in his public service carreer as an epitome of discipline and integrity.

This was contained in a statement by Humwashi Wonosikou Press Secretary to the Governor to Apex News Exclusive.

“I received the news of the death of your late father, husband and grand father with shock and sadness. This came at a time his wealth of experience and wisdom were most needed. I am, however, consoled that he lived an exemplary life and left a legacy of selfless service to the community”.

He noted that Joda loved his people and the country, adding that the administrator, Journalist and Politician would be sorely missed having contributed immensely to the development of Nigeria, Adamawa and his immediate community.

“On behalf of myself, my family, government and People of Adamawa, I convey my sincere condolences to the family on the passing of Alhaji Ahmed Joda. As you mourn, I join you in giving thanks to Almighty Allah for the exemplary and accomplished life your late father lived”.

Governor Fintiri noted that the death of Ahmed Joda at this time, would surely rob the State of the great contributions and wisdom of the very humane elderstatesman, who carried the interest of Adamawa State above all other considerations till he breathed his last.

The Governor prayed for the repose of the soul of the deceased and for Almighty Allah to grant the family he left behind, as well as his friends and associates and indeed the entire State, the fortitude to bear the loss, describing the late elderstatesman as one who displayed genuine love to all and sundry.
“He was religious, very open and full of wisdom. It is sad losing a good father like Alhaji Ahmed Joda who was cherished and loved by all, but there is consolation in the fact that he lived a worthy and exemplary life and only Allah can give the bereaved family the grace to bear the loss”.

“I pray Allah grant him Aljannatul Firdaus”.
