Adamawa governor Fintiri pledges upgrade of Fufore cottage hospital, laments how past administrations neglected education

Governor Ahmadu  Fintiri Wednesday declared that government will renovate Cottage hospital Fufore and upgrade it to a standard of a general hospital in order to improve healthcare service delivery in the area.

The Governor disclosed this in an interview with newsmen when he inspected the hospital and promised that the hospital will received a comprehensive facelift to make it provide quality healthcare service.

He expressed worry on the state of infrastructure and equipment in the hospital and pledged to provide the necessary things the hospital deserve including manpower to make it function optimally.

He stressed that his administration has accorded healthcare sector the necessary attention and currently government is constructing four new cottage hospitals in addition to renovating and reconstructing the decapitated infrastructure in other hospitals across the state.

The Governor who was also at the Government Day Secondary School GSS Fufore on the same mission, lamented with dismay the way and manner the immediate past administration has bastardized the education sector.

He said the school is one of the first twenty one schools that will be rehabilitated and provide it with the state of the art facilities to make it conducive for teaching and learning so that future leaders will get sound knowledge.

He disclosed that his administration has sent consultants to the school among others in the state and soon contractors will be mobilized to the school to commence renovation and reconstruction.

In an interview, the ViceFufore Vice Chairman of Fufore local government Mr Japheth Hamma Jabu thanked the Governor for visiting their hospital and school and assured him unflinching support and loyalty of the people of Fufore.
