Adamawa State Governor, Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri has reinstated over 1000 health workers and 376 others who were hitherto suspended due to the faulty process of their recruitment by the immediate past administration in the state.

Among the 376 reinstated staff in June included 263 of the State College of Agriculture Ganye, eleven staff from ministries, departments, and Agencies of government as well as reinstatement of redeployed 102 of state polytechnic Yola to MDAs.

This was contained in a statement Tuesday by Muhammad B. Tukur, Senior Special Assistant on New Media to the Governor.

The Governor upon taking office constituted a committee to verify employment and transfer of service of workers from May 2015 to May 2019 which among the findings of the committee reported substantial number of workers that were recruited through faulty processes.

Governor Fintiri’s administration decided to reinstate some of the qualified workers and redeployed others to appropriate work places that suit their qualification to fill in some vacancies created in various ministries of government.

This has no doubt put smiles on the faces of those suspended and their families which also showed the commitment of the present administration towards giving people in Adamawa a sense of belonging.

It could be recalled that Governor Umaru Fintiri has on many occasions reiterated his administration’s resolve to reform the civil service sector in the state which was bastardized by successive administrations in Adamawa.
