Adamawa Governor Fintiri swears in special advisers, chairmen, board members

Governor Ahmadu Fintiri Monday swore in his 34 Special Advisers in a colourful event that held in the Government House, Yola while adhering to social distancing protocols to curb the spread of COVID-19 pandemic.
The Governor had also inaugurated Chairmen and members of State Planning Commission, State Universal Basic Education Board (UBE), State Primary Healthcare Development Agency and that of Hospital Services Management Board, Yola.

In his address at the occasion, Governor Fintiri congratulated the Special Advisers and Board members for being swore in and charged them to work harder to justify the confidence reposed in them by government.
According to the Governor, the task before the appointees is enormous but surmountable and assured them support and cooperation in their new assignment, calling on them to approach him whenever the need arose as his doors are always opened.
He described the appointees as men and women of impeccable character who were selected out of the numerous abundant human resources in the state and wished them God’s guidance in the discharge of their new responsibilities.
In his vote of thanks on behalf of the appointees, the newly swore in Chief Special Adviser to the Governor, Chief Joel Hamman Joda Madaki thanked Governor Umaru Fintiri for giving them the opportunity to serve Adamawa people in his administration.
He promised that they will discharge their responsibilities with utmost seriousness and sincerity and assured the Governor hundred percent loyalty and support to enable him deliver dividends of democracy to the people of Adamawa.
In an interview shortly after the event, the Executive Chairman, State Universal Basic Education Board, Malam Salihi Ateeku appreciated Governor Fintiri for the mandate given to him and pledged to discharge his assignment diligently.
Highlight of the event was administering the oath of office and allegiance on the Special Advisers and Board Members by the Attorney General of the State and Commissioner of Justice, Barrister Afraimu Jingi as well as music entertainment by some lyrics.
