Adamawa Independent Electoral Commission 100% logistically ready for this month’s LG polls -Chairman

The Chairman, Adamawa State Independent Electoral Commission (ADSIEC), Mohammed Umar says the commission is 100 percent logistically ready and prepared for the 13 July, chairmanship and councillorship local government council in the state.
Umar told the press in his office in Yola the state capital that they are set for the election.
His words, ” We are 100 percent logistically ready and prepared for the 13th July local government council election which cut across the 21 councils in the state.”
On the number of ad hoc staff for the election, the chairman revealed that all the 4,104 pooling units will be manned by three ad hoc staff to include the security agencies.
He said, all security agencies in the state already screened all our candidates for the contest, nobody is disqualified for the 13th July 2024, saying the commission has no right to disqualify any candidate.
The ADSIEC Commissioner reiterated that 12 political parties are participating in 13 July Adamawa state local government council election.
The All Progressives Congress (APC) and the Labour Party (LP) have distance themselves and followers from participating in the election describing it as child play.
The Chairman said 60 chairmanship contestants cut across the parties will square up for the chairmanship of the 21 local government council seats.
Umar said, “All the candidates have been screen and forward fit for the election no candidate was disqualified, security has been beefed up in all local government areas where black spots are been identified for further beef up.”
