Adamawa PDP screens 39 aspirants for state congress

The Peoples Democratuc Party (PDP), Adamawa State chapter has screened 39 aspirants in preparatory for its state congresses.
The chairman of the screening commettee, Alhaji Mahmud Mohammed made the disclosure to journalists at the party’s secretariat in Yola shortly after completion of the screening exercise.
He said with the quality and calibre of candidates screened to face the election, he believed that the party will have new state officials that can run the party affairs successful.
Mohammed further explained that the candidates screened were former permanent secretaries, former Commissioners and some with double degrees from reputable universities.
He commended the way and manner the PDP stelwart conducted themselves during and after the exercise.
His words “I am impressed with the manner the stateholders and their supporters in the state conducted themselves.
“Their conduct made the exercise successful and hitch free without rancour from any quaters of the state,” he said.
According to him, he is optimistic that the forthcoming state congress shall be something to be emulated.
In a similar development, the good conduct of the congress came out following the successful conduct of both ward and local government elections earlier in the state which was led by Deputy Governor of Bauchi State, Senator Baba Tela.
