Adamawa proposes N225.8bn budget for 2024

The Adamawa State has approved a budget proposal of N225.8billion for the 2024 fiscal year.

The estimates tagged ‘Budget of Reengineering’ was approved during the council meeting presided by Governor Ahmadu Fintiri.

The State Commissioner of Information and Strategy, Mrs Neido Geoffrey Kafulto stated this while briefing journalists immediately after the meeting at Government House, Yola, Adamawa State.

She said the budget was done by the government based on citizens’ needs.

Also, Commissioner for Budget and Planning, Mr Emmanuel Piridimso said N111.3bn representing 49.3% was earmarked for recurrent services while N114.5bn representing 50.7% is to cover capital expenditure.

The proposed budget according to the Commissioner, will be presented to the state House of Assembly on Friday this week for consideration and approval.
