Administrative bottlenecks affecting growth of agriculture

Taraba State Governor, Architect Darius Ishaku has tied administrative bottlenecks as factor affecting the growth of Agriculture in the State.

The Governor made the disclosure when the Development Advisor of IFAD VCDP Fatima Muktar Buhari paid him a courtesy visit at the Government House Jalingo.

He remarked that for the past five years his application to boost rice farming is still hanging in the Central bank describing the trend as unfortunate.

Governor Ishaku who spoke on the potency of the State on rice farming maintain that Taraba State has the capacity to supply the nation with rice if given the needed support from the Federal Government.

The Governor promised to lay a solid foundation for coffee farming since he has been able to revive tea production that has gained global prominence.

Earlier, the Development Advisor of IFAD VCDP Fatima Muktar Buhari, who is the daughter of President Muhammadu Buhari described Taraba State as a pride in view of the eighty thousand tones of rice that has been supplied to the Nations market.
