Defunct Biafra flag

The spiritual leader of Brotherhood of the Cross and Star, His Holiness Olumba Olumba Obu has cautioned that the ongoing agitation by IPOB for a state of Biafra will be an exercise in futility.
He reiterated this position on the agitation through the spokesman of the organization, Patriarch Edet Archibong when he briefed the media on the week-long 20th coronation anniversary celebration of the spiritual leader as the King of kings and Lord of lords of the fold.
He said in the spiritual realm, there is nothing like Biafra and so those behind the agitation were wasting their energy and resources.
“In the spiritual realm, Biafra does not exist. Those behind it should not waste their time. Nigeria is God’s beloved country. It was specially amalgamated for a reason by God.
“It cannot be broken up by any force irrespective of any upheavals. Therefore, any attempts by agitators in the west, east or north to divide the country will not work”, he said.
The spokesman listed that the spiritual leader has variously intervened to ameliorate otherwise perilous situations in many parts of the country to douse tension.
According to him, “Last year, our Father sent the Association of Brotherhood Academic Scholars (ABAS) to Abuja and this year to Enugu to reach out to entire southeast states of Nigeria, the Igbo nation to deliver his message of peace, march round the cities, calling on God to cover the land with His peace. The solemn march would be pivotal to the preservation of the south eastern part of the country..”.
Archibong stated also that as a way of emphasising on imperatives for peace and unity in Nigeria, Obu encourages inter-religious harmony and peaceful coexistence in the human family.
“Our Father has come to rule in righteousness, peace and love. He has come to do away with racial, religious and gender bigotry. He has demonstrated that to all that come to him. Based on this, BCS exists in peace and harmony with various religious organizations. For instance, BCS has had a long standing and cordial relationship with the Moslem community in Cross River State. The Holy Father supports their projects. BCS holds joint seminar and thy attend our functions.”
