Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Senator Abubakar Kyari, has been commended for his remarkable and continuous contributions to the development of agriculture in Nigeria.

The commendation was made by Alhaji Abdullahi Maidoki, National Vice President (Campus Affairs),
National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS), in a statement he issued to Journalists in Bauchi on Friday.

National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS), is the umbrella body of all students in Nigerian Polytechnics, Monotechnics, and Allied Institutions, and the second-largest students and youths movement in Sub-Saharan Africa.

According to him, “Under the leadership of Senator Abubakar Kyari, we have witnessed significant progress in youth-focused agricultural initiatives, particularly the Students Back-to-Farm Initiative, which was successfully implemented under my office.”

He added that, “This initiative has encouraged thousands of students to actively key into modern agricultural practices, thereby contributing to food security and national development.”

He further stated that, “Senator Abubakar Kyari is not only a leader but also a father, mentor, and dependable supporter of Nigerian students. His doors have remained open to us at all times, and his commitment to engaging young people in nation-building is demonstrated through his actions, not just words.”

“He is indeed an icon of hope and diligent service, a man whose integrity and patriotism stand tall in our nation’s leadership landscape,” he added.

Abdullahi Maidoki added that, “We also extend our deep appreciation to the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, His Excellency President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, for appointing a visionary and result-driven personality like Senator Kyari to oversee the agricultural sector.”

According to him,”His appointment has brought renewed confidence and direction to the country’s food security drive.”

He stressed that, “Nigeria needs leaders like Senator Abubakar Kyari, leaders who serve without compromise, who uphold integrity, and who place national interest above personal gain.”

“On behalf of NAPS, I reaffirm our support, respect, and appreciation for the Honourable Minister. We look forward to more partnerships and initiatives that will further empower Nigerian students,” he added.

He also added that, “As I prepare to contest for the office of President of NAPS in the forthcoming national election, I assure you that we will continue to consolidate on these gains.”

“And by the grace of God, if elected, I plan to mobilize one million Nigerian students for a solidarity march in support of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s second-term bid. This is because we strongly believe that Nigeria will achieve even greater milestones under his Renewed Hope Agenda,” he concluded.
