The second edition of the Farm, Food and Allied Technology (FARMFATECH) Expo 2025 gets underway from November 10th to 12th bringing over 500 exhibitors, 76 participating countries, and an estimated 500,000 visitors.

The President, Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI), Chief Emeka Obegolu, SAN, PhD made this known at a press conference in Abuja on Friday.

The president who was represented by the Director-General, ACCI, Mr. Agabaido Jideani, noted that FARMFATECH 2025 will showcase cutting-edge agro-mechanisation technologies, food processing solutions, and value chain innovations.

According to him, the Expo will also create a unique platform for stakeholders to explore investment opportunities, forge partnerships, and catalyse business growth in Nigeria’s agricultural sector.

FARMFATECH 2025 will be held by Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry and in collaboration with Autodex Nigeria Limited, Afreximbank, and other key partners and sponsors.

Chief Obegolu noted that this year’s Expo builds upon the success of the inaugural edition and reinforces our collective vision to strengthen collaboration and knowledge exchange between Nigeria and China, as well as other strategic global partners, in advancing agricultural innovation and sustainability.

He stressed that as a Chamber, the ACCI operates through over 16 sector-based trade groups, one of which is the Agriculture Trade Group, a key driver of this initiative.

The President said it is through this group that the collaboration for FARMFATECH has been made possible stating that ACCI passion for the growth and advancement of Nigeria’s agricultural sector is at the heart of the Expo, which we believe will not only enhance productivity but also strengthen food security and create employment opportunities across the value chain.

He pointed out that at the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry, “we remain steadfast in our commitment to initiatives that promote economic diversification, industrial growth, and sustainable development. Through our four Centres, the Business, Entrepreneurship, Skills and Technology (BEST) Centre, Abuja Trade Centre (ATC), Nigerian Chamber of Commerce Dispute Resolution Centre (NCC-DRC), and the National Policy Advocacy Centre (NPAC), we continue to drive innovation, advocacy, and capacity building across all sectors of the economy.”

Chief Obegolu explained that agricultural sector remains a vital pillar of Nigeria’s economy and a major contributor to GDP and through ACCI Agriculture Trade Group ACCI continue to champion the interests of farmers, agribusinesses, and investors by promoting policies, technologies, and partnerships that sustain productivity and resilience.

The Managing Director of Autodex Nigeria Ltd, Prince Tony Afam Ifeakandu said the firm believed food security is inseparable from productive mechanization and smart logistics.

He said Nigeria’s farmers are hardworking and capable and Autodex’s role is to empower them with efficient machinery and clean-energy, mobility solutions that reduce costs, improve yields, and accelerate access to markets. Prince Ifeakandu said through innovations in hybrid combustion and electric vehicles, tricycles, motorbikes, and utility vehicles, as well as its evolving charging and battery-swap infrastructure, the firm is committed to strengthening the backbone of agriculture-mechanization, mobility, and field-to-market reliability.

He said together at FARMFATECH, the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and key industry partners, are advancing a future where contract farming, improved seed systems, and good agricultural practice are supported by world-class technology.

“Our mission is simple: equip farmers to produce more, move faster, and earn better, because a food-secure Nigeria must be powered by innovation,” he assured.
