The final match of the 2021 Ahlan Cup preseason tournament was Wednesday played at the Bayero University, Kano, new site between host Kano pillars and Doma United of Gombe. The match which was watched by a large crowd of spectators saw Pillars scoring the first goal in the 3 minutes of the game. Doma responded with an equalizer in the second half.
Pillars increased the tally making it 2-1 six minutes later in the second half.
During the half time break Elkanemi Warriors were called to recieve their third place medals and trophy which was jointly presented by Kano State sports Commissioner, assisted by special assistant to the Governor on sports, Alhaji Kabiru Baita.
Elkanemi Warriors amidst cheers received their third position medals and trophy to mark the end of the tournament.
Pillars in in the end increased the goal margin to 3. The host received the first position trophy and medals, while Doma United received the runners up trophy and medals.
Twelve teams participated in this year’s tournament.
