AIG thumbs up synergy between police, Air Force

The Assistant Inspector General of Police in zone six command, Jonathan Towuru has commended the cooperation and synergy between themselves and the Nigerian Air Force.
He said the synergy has helped much to curb crimes in the zone, leading to various achievements.
In a statement Tuesday evening signed by the zonal PRO, SP Nelson Okpabi, the AIG reiterated his resolve to ensure a crime free Zone through effective collaboration with sister agencies.
He called on the general public to share vital security information with the agencies for effective policing
According to the statement, Towuru spoke when he received the Commander 205 Special Military Group, Calabar, Air Commodore Ikechukwu Okpara in his office when he called to inform him of his redeployment to Bauchi State.
“I want to acknowledge the cooperation of our two agencies in the collective goal of national security. Let me assure that the synergy will be sustained”, he said.
The Air Force Commander also stated that the cooperation he enjoyed from the police throughout his tour of duty was remarkable.
He expressed hope that all sister agencies should sustain security cooperation to help stem the tide of insecurity in the country.
