By Alphonsus Nweze, Onitsha

The General Overseer of Chapel of Faith Bible Assembly International, 3-3, Onitsha, Anambra State, Bishop Emeka Michael Nwankpa (PhD), has asked the members of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Anambra State to pick Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu as their flag-bearer for the Anambra State Governorship election which comes up in November 8, this year.
Throwing his weight behind the governorship aspiration of Prince Ukachukwu, Bishop Nwankpa, a former Governorship candidate of Accord Party in Abia State in 2023 election affirmed that the best thing that would happen to Anambra State was to vote Dr. Ukachukwu as the next governor.
The Pentecostal Bishop who stated this while playing host to the leadership of Ikemba Front led by its National Coordinator, Sir Arinzechukwu Awogu, in Onitsha, Anambra State attested to the integrity of Ukachukwu, saying: ” If my mother were to run for an election against Ikukuoma, I will definitely vote for Ikukuoma”.
Recalling Prince Ukachukwu’s many selfless support to many people including himself, Bishop Nwankpa said : “Ikukuoma’s candidature will be a seamless sure win for APC”, stressing that he: “remained the best bet for APC to win the November 8, governorship election.
Earlier in his speech, Sir Awogu explained the historical background of Ikemba Front, tracing its establishment to Dim Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu when he came back from self exile in 1982.
But their former principal and governorship aspirant, Late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, resuscitated the political pressure group.
Awogu, former chairman of Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State thanked Bishop Nwankpa for accepting their request to visit him and become one of their patrons.
Sir Awogu also sought Nwankpa’s unalloyed support for Dr.Ukachukwu in his quest to become the Governor of Anambra State come November 8, 2025 governorship election.
The visit was part of the group’s widespread consultations aimed at enlisting influential Ndi-Anambra with grassroots touch into Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu’s governorship support base.
Ukachukwu is one of the seven governorship aspirants contesting for the All Progressive Congress (APC) ticket for November 8 Anambra State Governorship election.
Ukachukwu, an Abuja based businessman has been a chairman of Abuja Area Council chairman and House of Representatives representing Abuja in the State House of Representatives.
He had made attempts to govern the state in the past but has not been successful.
But this time around the Awogu led Ikemba Front has been at the fore-front pushing for his candidature for APC.
