A worthy son of Atani, in Ogbaru Local Government Area of Anambra State, Brig. Gen. Nnamdi Isama (rtd), has thrown his unflinching support to the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in November 8, 2025 election in the state, Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu.
Brig.Isama who recently buried his octogenarian mother showed his support for Ikukuoma as the APC candidate is fondly called by his admirers when the National Coordinator of the Ikemba Front, Sir Arinze Awogu, a major support group for Ukachukwu ‘s governorship bid decorated him with the symbol of Prince Ukachukwu and APC. In his house in Atani.
Sir Awogu said with the symbol the retired general had identified with the sweeping wind of change gliding across Anambra State to safety and accelerated development.
Awogu was assisted in the brief decoration ceremony by Pastor Dan Nwokedi, the Group Managing Director of SNECOU Group Limited who himself is a passionate promoter of Prince Ukachukwu’s governorship quest.
Sir Awogu said: “When we say that the generals are coming together, it is not only in the coming together of political gladiators, shakers and movers of our today’s political pendulum who are resolute in their determination to unseat the non-performing and retrogressive incumbent governor, but that of patriotic Nigerians who have served this country at topmost level like Brig. Gen. Nnamdi Isama (rtd) and who desire to see their home state attain appreciable heights in physical infrastructure and in human development”.
He in the case of Anambra State, the APC candidate, Prince Dr. Nicholas Ukachukwu, is seen as the only one in the circumstance that can be trusted by the people of Anambra State to move the state in the right direction.
The former Ogbaru Local Government Area chairman frowned at the deliberate underdevelopment of Ogbaru Local Government Area taken to new heights by the Soludo administration.
“Of all the “A” communities that had their onions in pre-colonial Nigeria, it is only in Ogbahu that some of such communities are still without tarred roads and electricity which has remained so since the days of Adam and Eve and these are the communities from where we earn our oil derivation as oil producing state. Nothing can be as mind-boggling as that to a people abandoned and neglected by an abysmal administration” Awogu lamented.
Pastor Dan Nwokedi, who is also a class mate of Dr. Ukachukwu as well as Brig. Gen.Isama rtd, at Dennis Memorial Grammar School (DMGS) Onitsha, class of 86, described the retired General as “a great man and an asset of inestimable value to the nation”.
