In a bid to cushion the economic effects of the ravaging coronavirus lockdown in his constituency, the Speaker, Anambra State House of Assembly and member representing Ayamelum Constituency, Mr Uche Okafor has distributed over 1000 bags of rice to his constituents.
The distribution which took place at his compound in Ifite-Ogwari under strict observation of social distancing was designed to curb hunger and give the people a sense of belonging.
Okafor engaged Women Presidents General of all the communities in his constituency to deliver the food items to the less privileged in his constituency.
Ayamelum Constituency has eight communities namely: Anaku,Omor, Umuerum,Umunbo,Igbakwu,Ifite-Ogwari, Umueje and Omasi.
