Although he also noted that the state was gradually returning to normal life inspite of the threat of the COVID-19 pandemic, he maintained that all the boundaries with neighbouring States remained completely closed but emphasized that only those on essential services would be allowed entry after thorough checks and confirmations by security personnel stationed at the borders.
According to the governor, ”we are working very hard to seal off all bush Paths that are being exploited by unscrupulous transporters to the detriment of our beloved state.”

Governor Obiano said that market leaders have also been trained on COVID-19 safety/preventive measures; which they must deploy to ensure that friends, colleagues as well as customers comply with the standard protocols for COVID-19 prevention.
Chief Obiano who also alerted citizens on federal government’s proposed Nationwide curfew from Monday to halt the community spread of coronavirus across the country, enjoined citizens to compulsorily comply with the aforestated directives as enforcement would be carried out vigorously, stressing that to be forewarned is to be forearmed.
