The Governor of Anambra State, Professor Chukwuma Charles Soludo, has extended warm felicitations to His Royal Majesty, Dr. Kenneth Onyeneke Nnaji Orizu III, the Igwe of Nnewi, as the revered Monarch marks his 100th birthday.
Governor Soludo’s message of congratulations was conveyed in a statement released on Saturday by his Press Secretary, Mr. Christian Aburime, in Awka, the state capital.
Describing the milestone as a rare and historic achievement, the Governor praised Igwe Orizu III for his enduring reign characterized by wisdom, strength, and steadfast commitment to the service of his people.
He noted that reaching the age of 100 reflects divine grace, resilience, and longevity, and that the Monarch’s continued mental alertness and vitality make the celebration even more remarkable.
“For over six decades on the throne, His Royal Majesty has remained a pillar of stability, a voice of reason in challenging times, and a unifying figure within and beyond Nnewi,” Soludo said.
He added that Igwe Orizu’s leadership has fostered peace, community development, and progress in Nnewi and across Anambra State.
The Monarch’s influence, he noted, has also extended nationally through his contributions to harmony, economic growth, and social advancement.
Governor Soludo further highlighted the Monarch’s national honours the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) and his designation as a Justice of the Peace (JP) as fitting recognition of his exemplary service and integrity.
The Governor concluded by wishing the centenarian Monarch continued good health, divine favour, and more years of impactful leadership.
“May His Royal Majesty continue to inspire peace, prosperity, and progress in Nnewi, Anambra State, and Nigeria at large,” Soludo said.
