Mr Christopher urges investors to come to Anambra

Investors have been urged to explore increasing business opportunities emerging from the various sectors of Anambra State economy to harness untapped potential.
Speaking in Awka, the Senior Special Assistant to Governor Willie Obiano on Security, Mr. Ostar Christopher said Anambra State has become a viable choice for investors to expand their businesses.
Our correspondent reports that Mr. Christopher noted that Governor Obiano’s administration has provided effective security infrastructure and conducive environment for investments to thrive in all parts of the state.
The SSA added that his zero tolerance for crime has restored investor’s confidence in the State and expanded frontiers and prospects of effective harnessing of resources in various sectors.
He explained that deployment of hi-tech digital security equipment in major cities of the state has further strengthened the security network, while the installation of street lights in communities has denied criminals and hoodlums the advantage of darkness and has restored night life in various parts of the state.
Mr. Christopher pointed out that people freely return to their communities from different parts of the world to hold social functions, adding that Governor Obiano’s vision of setting up cattle menace control committee has sustained peaceful co-existence between farmers and herdsmen in the state.
Also speaking, a medical practitioner and APGA Chieftain, Dr. Mike Omenugha said Governor Obiano has completly transformed and repositioned the state Health Sector for efficient service delivery by rebuilding and re-equipping all primary health centres, general and tertiary hospitals and has also established the first oxygen plant in the South-East at the Amaku Teaching Hospital which serve hospitals in the entire region.
Dr. Omenugha observed that the introduction of the state health
insurance scheme has brought accessible and affordable quality health care services close to the people while regular payment of salaries and various empowerment programmes have uplifted the life of the people.
He urged the people to reciprocate the kind gesture by being alive to their civic responsibilities.
