Anambra house help arrested for stealing, selling employer’s car

Onitsha Police have arrested a domestic worker, Mr. Divine Ifeanyi Nnalue, for stealing his employer’s car and selling it in Delta State.
Nnalue allegedly stole a black Toyota Camry (ENU 289 JF) from his employer’s residence at Trinity Avenue, Federal Housing Estate, Onitsha, Anambra State.
Police apprehended Nnalue on June 13, 2025, in Ugbeji-Okpanam near Asaba, following an intelligence-led operation.
He confessed to selling the vehicle to an unknown buyer and the Police are actively investigating to recover the car and apprehend any accomplices.
Police Public Relations Officer, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, stated that the arrest underscores the Anambra State Police Command’s commitment to protecting citizens and their property.
He advised the public to exercise caution when hiring domestic help, emphasizing the importance of thorough verification.
Nnalue remains in custody pending the conclusion of the investigation.
