Anambra market leader endorses Governor Soludo for second term, distributes food items to indigent persons

The President of Ogbaru Main Market, Chief Ndubuisi Ochiogu, has advised the people of Anambra State not to look for another person for the 2025 governorship race as the incumbent Governor, Prof Chukwuma Soludo, still remained the most competent and qualified for the job.
Ochiogu spoke when he led the executive of the market to distribute food items for free to the poor and needy as part of celebrating this year’s Christmas.
He said of all the people indicating their interest for the governorship race of the state, only Prof. Soludo remained the most credible who has the interest of the State at his heart.
He said: “There are lots of selfish people who want to contest Governor in 2025. They don’t have the interest of the State at heart. If Soludo finishes the projects he has at hand now, there is nothing again we want. He should go for a second tenure”.
The market leader urged journalists in the state to protect the interest of Anambra citizens by educating the masses if the state the qualities of those aspiring for 2025.
Among those who benefitted from items distributed were eight orphanage homes which included Madonna Orphanage Home, Mercy and Charity orphanage Home, Obosi, Okife Jesus Orphanage Home, Nnewi, Life and Compassionate Orphanage Home, Obosi among others.

Those who benefitted also included poor and indigent members of the public and traders in the market.
Items distributes were bags of rice, about 300 tubers of yam and vegetable oil among others.
Ochiogu said the money for the project was raised through voluntary donation by some traders in the market, saying that it would be a continuous exercise as long as they remained in the office.
In his sermon, Rev Fr Samson Obiegwulah of Immaculate Heart Parish, Fegge, Onitsha, stressed the need for people to be their neighbours’ keepers
He challenged the traders not to end the year without helping somebody especially their customers who God uses to favour them.
