The National Coordinator of Ikemba Front, Sir Arinze Awogu, has said that the Anambra North Senatorial Zone remained “the beautiful bride” in the November 8, 2025 Governorship election in Anambra State.
Sir Awogu who spoke at the residence of Senator Alphonsus Ubanese Igbeke in Nsugbe, Anambra East Local Government Area of the State said the Senatorial zone would therefore think in a particular direction and speak loudly with one voice during the election.
Awogu who was the former Local Government chairman of Ogbaru Local Government Area of the State during the administration of Chief Willie Obiano noted that the All Progressive Congress (APC), governorship candidate in the November 8 election, Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu is a friend of Anambra North Senatorial zone.
The Ikemba Front boss who was accompanied by other national officers of the group poured encomium on Senator Igbeke who he described as: “one who carries the weight of others”.
Drawing analogy between Igbeke and Ukachukwu, Awogu said fending for humanity was an act both pursued with vigour.
Igbeke who was celebratinghis late father with the people of his immediate community at Nnadi-Nsugbe used the ocassion to float a foundation in honour of his father in a bid to broaden his philanthropic gesture to the less privileged and the down-trodden in the society.
Eulogising his father, Senator Igbeke said: “my father was the Duaka of Nnadi, Nsugbe, very prominent and a builder of men. He remains my idol, and 37 years after his death I still love him a lot. And that is why this foundation is named after him, instead of my own name” said Ubanese of his father who joined his ancestors in 1988.
The sight of Anambra State going into a major election was not lost on the ocassion as members of Ikemba Front, representing Prince Nicholas Ukachukwu were massively present at the event.
The ocassion also attracted many dignitaries including traditional rulers and men of God including Bishop Emeka Nwankpa of the Chapel of Faith Bible Assembly International among others.
