Traders have risen in anger against operatives of Ocha Brigade, the State revenue security outfit following their alleged killing of four traders at the Onitsha Main market.
Eyewitnesses said the operatives of Ocha Brigade had gone as usual to carry out the seizure of wares belonging to the traders who might have infringed their law.
But the traders were said to have resisted them which resulted in sporadic shooting at the already agitated traders.
In the process at least four persons were said to have been killed, while some other traders were said to have sustained various degrees of injury.
Obviously infuriated the traders organized and headed to the office of Ocha Brigade at Iboku Street where they burnt one Rav.Four SUV Jeep said to be belonging to their leader and one motor bike.
The mob also broke into the office after over-powering the operatives who initially tried to resist them, vandalized it and carted away some of the goods seized from traders which they packed in their office.
By the time we got to the scene at Iboku, the angered traders had left for Ocha Brigade office at Ozomagala street, where it was gathered that they broke into it, vandalized the goods packed there, while some were carted away by unscrupulous people.
When contacted the Police Onitsha Area Commander, Amadi through his handset, it was ringing engaged.
But many people in the State have complained about the the insensitivity and violent disposition of Ocha Brigade, Anti-Touting team and other groups set by Governor Chukwuma Soludo.
