President Bola Tinubu has been called upon to as a matter of urgency, suspend the Head of Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Ẹsan for allegedly hurriedly posting Permanent Secretaries to cover up shaddy deals.
The HoSF was also berated for hurriedly reposting Permanent Secretaries without recourse to their suitability but based on acquaintance and influence.
The allegation was made by an Anti-Corruption organization, Nigerian Watch Front Group in a press statement signed by its National Coordinator, Abubakar Gazali Yaro, made available to journalists in Bauchi on Thursday.
The Group in the press release stated that its attention has been drawn to what it described as “the unlawful and influenced posting of Permanent Secretaries to some selected Ministries by the Head of Service of the Federation, Dr Folasade Yemi-Ẹsan.”
The Group further stated that, “It is important for the public to note that our group, on several fora, has cautioned the HoSF from posting any Permanent Secretary to another Ministry due to the ongoing transition.”
According to the Group, “as it is evident that the new government may find it difficult to have handful of details on the immediate past administration’s dealings as it affect the particular Ministry.”
It added that the HoSF has been accused previously by Permanent Secretaries of “her corrupt allegations encouraging corrupt practices, nepotism and extortion from Permanent Secretaries.”
According to it, “The same Head of Service is shielding corruption scandals of Mrs.Evelyn Ngige after several attempts by this Group’s writing under the Freedom of Information Act (FOI) to furnish the general public of the performances of the Permanent Secretaries.”
It alleged further that,”But she refused to provide us with the examination transcripts and evidence that she passed all the requirements to Permanent Secretary, she continue to shield her corrupt footprint and stewardship.”
“The hasty posting of Permanent Secretaries has left us with no option than to suspect Mrs Folasade Yemi-Ẹsan of having skeleton in her cupboard, as such we implore Nigeria President, His Excellency Bola Ahmed Tinubu to without hesitation sack and relieve her of that position due to the imminent allegation on corruption over her personality,” the Group addrd.
According to the Group,”It is on record that she recently posted a Permanent Secretary to the Ministries of Niger Delta Affairs, Interior who is not an indigene from that region and has zero understanding of that Ministry.”
