By Celestine Ihejirika, Jalingo

Speculation over cabinet reshuffle is now causing anxiety among commissioners in Taraba State.

Impeccable source close to Government House, Jalingo confided this in confidence to our correspondent in the State on weekend.

According to the source, Governor Agbu Kefas had kept this in a top secret awaiting his second anniversary celebration coming up next month May 29th, he stated.

The source further informed our reporter that this has remained top secret by the governor, expected to take the cabinets unaware on the day of its second anniversary in office.

Accordingly, the source had maintained that governor Kefas has distanced himself from the commissioners, using his constant trips abroad as part of the game plan.

Indeed, the unfolding plan has created concern on top government officials who use his absence in the State to avoid offices.

It was further gathered that the governor’s efforts had not been yielding results as many commissioners had continued to sabotage most of his dream projects in the State.

Although, the source revealed that not all commissioners will be dropped, but hinted that about 50% of them, particularly the underperformed ones will soon become applicants.

However, most commissioners whose names were revealed on condition of anonymity according to the source who hinted our reporter in the State will be shocked on the very day.

Governor Agbu Kefas who is currently out of the country to meet with investors may be using the period compiling lists of the new cabinet members coming to government house on May, 29th the source further disclosed.

It will be recalled on assumption of office on May, 29th 2023, the governor made it categorically clear that his cabinet will be entirely for youth, a deliberate policy that many stakeholders in the state vowed to frustrate his government.
